TheEnablerinterfaceallowsyoutointeractwithandconfiguretheEnabler.TheMonitoris

thecomponentoftheEnablerthatlistensforcommunicationrequestsfromthemobiledevice

server.Bydefault,theMonitorrunsinthebackgroundonthemobiledevice.Youcan,

however,stoptheMonitorfromlaunchingwhenthemobiledevicebootsorconfigurethe

MonitortoterminatewhenevertheEnableristerminatedonthemobiledevice.IftheMonitor

isnotactiveonthemobiledevice,thenthemobiledevicewillnotbeabletoreceive

communicationsfromAvalancheandwillnotreceiveautomaticupdates.

WhentheMonitorreceivesanupdaterequestfromAvalanche,itcontactsthemobiledevice

servertodownloadtheupdate.TheMonitorisalsoresponsibleforkeepingtrackofperiodic

updates.Whenaperiodicupdateisdue,theMonitorqueriesthemobiledeviceserverfor

availableupdates.

Launching the Enabler

WhenyoulaunchtheEnableronthemobiledevice,theEnablerinterfaceappears.This

• ConfiguretheAvalancheEnablersettings.

• LaunchapplicationsintheProgramsview.

• ConnecttotheAvalancheConsoleanddownloadavailableupdates.
